  1. RECIPES

  3. ONLY USE THE INSTALL.BAT FILE IF YOU'RE GOING TO INSTALL ON DRIVE C AND
  4. YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE A DIRECTORY NAMED RECIPE.

  6. This is a simple to use recipe program. To run it type RECIPE.  It uses two 
  7. files: RECIPE and INGRED and creates indexes of the same names. It is 
  8. written for a color monitor system and I can't guarantee the results on
  9. a monochrome screen.

  11. This program does NOT calculate ingredients based on changing the number
  12. of servings.
  13.  
  14. There are help keys listed on the screens so you know what keys to use 
  15. for different functions. To look up a recipe, just start typing the name
  16. you want and the program will try to match the letters you keyed in. The
  17. more letters you key in, the more specific the search becomes.

  19. When you add a recipe, you can indicate a number of items at the top of the
  20. screen. These are name, category, type, group, and servings. The name is what
  21. will appear on the main menu and what you call the recipe. The type could be
  22. snack or dinner or lunch. The group might be pasta or dip, etc. You can
  23. make these items anything you want.

  25. When adding an ingredient, if you start type with a number for the quantity,
  26. the field will automatically open for you. When you press enter the ingred-
  27. ient field will automatically open for you. Otherwise you have to press
  28. enter first to activate an ingredient field.

  31. sure you can figure out what you need.
